Dr Kroon practises as a consultant gynaecologist at Blackrock Clinic, Mount Carmel Hospital, St Vincent's Private Hospital and the Bon Secours Hospital (Glasnevin).
Dr Kroon qualified in 1995 at the University of Cape Town, and completed her specialist training in the United Kingdom. Whilst at John Radcliffe Hospital, she completed special skills modules in advanced hysteroscopic surgery and laparoscopic surgery. Dr Kroon has an interest in benign gynaecology and benign gynaecological surgery; including endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, fertility and uterovaginal prolapse.
She worked as a consultant obstetrician gynaecologist at the National Maternity Hospital from 2007 to 2010. She is a core member of the Irish Gynaecological Endoscopy Society. She is a member of the British Fertility Society and British Gynaecological Endoscopic Society, and is currently working towards completing her training in Colposcopy.
